Since his career success in the early 1990s as the featured vocalist for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Nick Carter has been nothing but extraordinary. Along with his Backstreet Boys band-mates, Carter has helped pave the road for a generation of young pop bands. The Backstreet Boys' first record release, "Backstreet's Back," turned the band into an overnight sensation in Europe and the United States. The release of "Millennium" pushed the band even higher on the charts entering the Billboard Top 200 at No.1 and selling more than 1.1 million albums in its first week. Hits from the band's latest release, "Black and Blue," continue to work their way up charts throughout the world. Carter along with Backstreet have sold over 73 million albums, amazing no matter which way you put it. Recently, Nick collaborated with his younger brother Aaron on his music, and now has an album of his own out "Now or Never," released in October 2002.

Carter is the founder of the Nick Carter Oceans Campaign, through which he speaks out in support of ocean-based issues. He also supports oceanic education and outreach.

Carter recently entered his 43-foot offshore racing boat in the American Power Boat Association's 2002 circuit races in the United States and Canada. Nick Carter Racing debuted this spring with his father Bob Carter piloting the boat.
